Throughout my years in school, I was always very quiet and I didn't really have any voice at all, but as I reached high school, I did something I would have never thought of doing. I joined student government! I have done it every year since then, and I couldn't be happier.
I found my voice and I built up enough confidence in myself to speak publicly whenever needed. My goal would be to create a platform or website in which I am able to reach out to and empower other girls who, just like the old me, are scared to speak up for themselves or publicly, which holds them back from going out to do the things they love. It is very important to find your voice as a teenager, and I would love to be able to help other girls achieve this.
The Scheck Hillel value I chose was chessed, or kindness. Chessed is also consideration, generosity, and love for others. My project relates to this because since my goal is to empower others, you can see that my love for others and consideration for other girls like me to learn how to find themselves, drove me to start this project.
My goal is to constantly add posts to the blog, in order to reach as many teenagers as possible. On top of blog posts, there will be motivational speeches, Ideas on how to find your voice, and tips and tricks on how to become a better public speaker. I aim to fill everyone who reads this blog with motivation and passion, to grow as people and improve their confidence.
